Winter in Hawaii brings white snow-capped Mountains that draw tourists and Kama’aina alike to elevations ranging from 9,000 to 13,000 ft. 


Mauna Kea Summit

The Highest point in Hawai’i is Pu’u Wēkiu,  high above the rest of the state at 13,796 ft. 

Mauna Kea is home to one of the largest telescopes in the world.  Countries from around the world send astronomers to Mauna Kea to peer into the deepest reaches of the universe.
