Kua Bay is one of North Kona’s shoreline gems.  Recently transformed into a public beach, this bay is sought after by residents and tourists alike.  The water is most often crystal clear and calm.

Kona Coastlines

Beaches on the Kona coast are some of the worlds most pristine.  Like an oasis in a lava desert, accessing some of the islands more remote beaches can be difficult often requiring a hike over the sun soaked lava fields.

Magic Sands - with the changing tides and weather, the sand will sometimes get swept away exposing the large boulders that reside beneath.  It is believed that this fluctuation in appearance is what gives this beach its name, Magic Sands.   Magic Sands is located on the south end of Kona, on the famous Ali’i Drive.
